Warsaw – Krakow - Gdańsk
Day 1 Warsaw
Arrival in Warsaw. Private transfer to a hotel. Accommodation. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 2 Warsaw
Breakfast at a hotel.
City tour in Warsaw including the sightseeing of the Old Town, the Royal Castle and Castle Square. The landmark of Sigismund's Column is located at the square.
Lunch.
After lunch, you will visit POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The museum features a multimedia narrative exhibition about the living Jewish community that flourished in Poland for a thousand years up to the Holocaust. Free time to explore the city by yourself.
Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3 Krakow
Departure to Krakow is set in the early morning. In Krakow, you are going to visit the Wawel Cathedral. It is known as Polish national sanctuary as well as the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Krakow and also a coronation site of Polish monarchs. Then you climb the tower with the Royal Sigismund Bell where you will see the panorama of Krakow. There is a belief that you should touch the clapper of the bell, if you want to get married in following 7 years. After that, you will visit Royal Wawel Castle. The Wawel Royal Castle and the Wawel Hill constitute the most historically and culturally important site in Poland. In the Castle, you will see the exhibition related to the history of Krakow and the life of Polish monarchs.
Lunch.
After lunch, you will go to St. Mary‘s Church. It is is a Brick Gothic church re-built in the 14th century. Today it is a regular church where you can find some expositions of religious manuscripts. Also, you will inspect the Main Square (Krakow), and then visit the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow located in the undergrounds of the Mani Square. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 4 Wieliczka
Breakfast at a hotel.
Morning drive to Wieliczka – the site of Salt Mine. You will visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine opened in the 13th century. The royal mine was run by the Zupy krakowskie Salt Mines company and produced table salt continuously until 2007 as one of the world's oldest salt mines in operation. Then you will go to the Saltworks Castle and the Museum. It has a mission to protect and to popularise a rich history of salt mining in Poland as it is perceived to be a lasting heritage of humanity.
Lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Graduation Tower. A stroll in the area of the graduation tower is one of the most pleasant forms of inhalation therapies.
Return to Krakow. Departure to Gdansk. Overnight in Gdansk.
Day 5 Gdansk
Breakfast at a hotel. Full day to explore Gdansk. Tour in Old Town of Gdansk on foot. You may feel that you are carried back to the Middle Ages when spend some time in the heart of Gdansk. You will go to the Amber Museum and Neptun‘s Fountain.
Lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Museum of World War II. The main exhibition comprises three main narrative blocks: "The Road to War", "The Terror of War" and "The Long Shadow of War". The exhibition presents Polish experience of the war and places it in a broader European and international context. It is divided into 18 thematic sections, which reflects the arrangement of the relevant rooms at the exhibition.
Free time in Gdansk. Overnight in Gdansk.
Day 6 Malbork
Breakfast at a hotel. A trip to Malbork. A town was founded in the 13th century by the Knights of the Teutonic Order and is well known for its medieval Malbork Castle, which you are going to visit. The castle was built in the 13th Century as the Order's headquarters that later became known as Royal Prussia. In the Castle, you will see collections related to the researche based on a history of the Castle and the Order.
Lunch. After lunch, you will have free time in Malbork to explore it by yourself. Return to Gdansk. Overnight in Gdansk.
Day 7 Warsaw
Morning departure to Warsaw. Free time to explore the city and buy some souvenirs. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 8 Warsaw
Transfer to the airport for your home flight. End of a tour.
