Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, departure to one of the most beautiful places in the Historical Regional Park of Dieveniškės (Šalčininkų district) Norviliškės Castle. It is known, that the castle was built by a wealthy Prussian merchant Vaitiekus Šorcas in the place of an old manor at the beginning of the 16th century. Lunch in the Castle. After lunch the tour through the Historical Regional  Park of Dieveniškės. Visit Grybiškių oak. Later trip to the ethnographic village. Free time to enjoy a peaceful nature around the Castle. Breakfast. Morning departure to Užutrakis Manor which is situated in the Trakai Historical National Park. The Užutrakis ensemble was formed by Józef Tyszkiewicz and his wife Jadwiga Swiętopułk-Czetwertyńska and it was put into effect at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 1993 Užutrakis Manor Estate Park was declared an architectural landscape reserve.  Visit to Užutrakiu Manor and a huge and beautiful park. Next, travel to Babtynas-Žemaitkiemis Manor. Being in that place, you will enjoy a vibrant nature and incredible atmosphere which is created by the magnificent look of the Manor. Lunch. At the end of the day  - trip to Uzventis watermill . Breakfast.  A trip to Sveksna Manor. Sveksna Manor complex is located near a small river Sveksnale in Silute district, Sveksna sub-district. Manor house is in the centre of Sveksna town, near neo – gothic church of St. Jacob. This church and Manor House are combined by a unique two arches viaduct. Enjoy the beauty of the Manor. Visit the Sveksna Museum where are four exhibitions at the time.Lunch.  A Later trip to “Dino Park“. There are a lot of entertainment for children and adults as well. Morning departure to Kretinga Manor. Kretinga Manor was built in the 15th - early 16th century. Count Tyszkiewicz bought it from Mikalojus Zubovas and beautified the buildings further by adding a glassed conservatory a faux cliff and cascading waterfall; the walls were  decorated with corals. It was the most famous winter garden in Lithuania. Visit the Kretinga Museum which is situated in Kretinga Manor.  There are archaeological, numismatic, and old Lithuanian folk art and ethnographical expositions. Lunch. Next, visit to Palanga Manor . The Palanga Manor or Tyszkiewicz Palace is a Neo-Renaissance style building in Palanga, Lithuania, built for the Tyszkiewicz family. The palace is surrounded by a park wth ponds, fountains, and collections of rare plants. Since 1963 the palace has housed the Palanga  Amber Museum and is surrounded by the Palanga Botanical Garden.  Enjoy the amber exposition in the Amber Museum. Free time to explore Palanga. Overnight.

6 Day Plungė - Pakruojis – Kučiaibistrampolio dvaras panevezio r

Breakfast. Visit of Plungė Manor. Now here is a Samogitian Art Museum, the estate buildings and the park, neo-gothic stables, running an antique folk art exhibition.  Moreover, in the park, you will visit Oak of a Thunder God, the biggest tree in the park.Lunch. After, trip to Pakruojis Manor. This is the biggest extant manor ensemble, which consists of 34 buildings and a beautiful park. The founder of the ensemble was Teodor von Ropp, who built a classicist palace and subsidiary buildings in the first part of the XIX century, having classicism and romanticism elements. At the end of the day, a trip to Bistrampolis manor. Bistrampolis Manor – it is a part of our countryside historical memory and national culture.Surrounded by a wonderful old park, reminiscing the middle of 19th century. Morning drive to Trakai (28 km )- the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit the 15th century Insular Trakai Castle housing an exhibition on prehistoric findings and the 17-18th century applied art, the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and the Karaites, brought to Lithuania from the Crimea. On the way back to Vilnius see spectacular Baroque church of The Church of St Peter and St Paul and have an excursion in KGB museum.

Drive to the seaside via most picturesque road in Lithuania - Panemune castle road  with few stops along the way. Sightseeing tour of Klaipeda (Klaipėda) - Lithuania's third biggest city - a historic seaport and resort. Old Town of Klaipeda with the Theatre square and the statue of a girl Ann from Tharau, numerous old streets and buildings, Linden street with the old post-office, Mazvydas Sculpture Park. Overnight in Klaipeda.

July 9 (Monday) Klaipėda – Nida – Klaipėda

Full day visit to the Curonian Spit. Morning ferry to Neringa - visit to Juodkrante, climb the Raganu Kalnas (Hill of Witches)decorated with numerous wooden sculptures based on Lithuanian legends and folk tales. Stop at a bird sanctuary. Further drive to Nida (30 km), a small old fishermen village famous for its majestic seashore sand dunes,  neo-gothic church and old ethnographic cemetery. July 10 (Tuesday) Klaipėda – Palanga – Kretinga – Klaipėda

Morning sightseeing of Palanga  offers a visit to the The Palanga Amber Museum which houses very rich amber collection, a walk in the Botanical Park of Palanga with Birute's Hill - a 22-metre-high dune, the central street full of souvenir shops, open-air cafes, and leading to the beach and the pier. Later trip to Kretinga. Lunch. Afterwards visit Kretinga museum, which  exhibits the history, traditions, crafts, and lifestyle of this part of Lithuania. In addition, the tour will include an exotic winter garden of the former palace with an all year flourishing plants and nice water cascades. Return to Palanga. July 11 (Wednesday) Klaipėda – Kryžių kalnas – Kernavė – Vilnius

Drive to Vilnius with en route stop in the holy site of Catholic Pilgrimage – Hill of Crosses. This is an expression of a spontaneous religiousness of the people, and is a symbol not of grief and death but of Faith, Love and Sacrifice. From here the Pope blessed people of Lithuania and Christian Europe. Later-visit the first capital of Lithuania Kernave (Kernavė).Here you will be able to climb 5 mounds and enjoy a superb breath-taking view of the river valley graced by the bends of the river Neris. Vilnius (in Yiddish: Vilne) used to be a very important Jewish center in Europe. From the 14th century onwards Jews settled in the city, and by the 18th century Vilne had become the world center of traditional Talmudic learning, eventually becoming known as the Jerusalem of Lithuania, or more generally, the Jerusalem of the North.

The museum has five branches. They demonstrate different aspects of the historical and cultural heritage and tragedy of Jews.

Later drive top Kaunas. City tour includes the most interesting – architectural and historic monuments in the Old Town - former Kaunas Jewish ghettoSugihara‘s House (Kaunas)Choral sinagogue (Kaunas).  Kaunas choral synagogue is striking for its black and golden colors, as well as its Children's memorial. From Synagogue you’ll be able to pass the house where the poet Leah Goldberg once lived, and visit the area that once contained the vibrant Jewish Ghetto, ultimately incinerated by the Nazis. Day 1 . Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Vilnius.

 

Day 2. Vilnius-Trakai-Vilnius

City tour of Vilnius, including The Church of St. John's tower with a wonderful panoramic view of the city, The Cathedral (St Stanislaus and St Vladislav Cathedral), Presidential Palace and the jewels of 16 - 17 century Gothic and Baroque architecture. Also city hall, and many beautiful architecture pearls of Vilnius. In the afternoon a tour of Trakai, the ancient capital and the residence of Grand Dukes of Lithuania, located 28 km from Vilnius, famous for its 14th century insular castle with a museum of Lithuanian history.

Day 3. Jewish Vilnius

A walking tour in the medieval Jewish quarter, its lanes and courtyards, the history and the sad fate of the Great Synagogue of Vilna, the personality of  Vilna Gaon the greatest spiritual figure in the Jewish history, the site of the Strashun library. Building of the world famous Jewish printing house “Widow and Brothers Romm”. The Small Ghetto and the Large ghetto of the period of WWII, where more than forty thousand of Vilna Jews were concentrated, the building of the Judenrat on the Rudninku street, the activities of the F.P.O. - the United Partisan Organisation under the leadership of Itzik Vitenberg and Abba Kovner.

 

Later you will see Monument for Zemach Shabad . Tsemakh Shabad was a l egendary personality. The doctor was active in various spheres of life, including charity (he was one of the heads of the Jewish community member for supporting refugees), health care (as founder of the Ozė health community in Vilnius), education and science (as an active figure in the Central Jewish Schools Organisation and one of the initiators of the establishment of YIVO), public affairs (together with J. Vygodskij he re-established the Vilnius Jewish Community) and journalism. Visit the Jewish State museum and see its exhibitions of the Jewish life throughout the ages. A walk to the old Vilnius University founded in 1579.
A visit to the Large ghetto of Vilnius.The graves of the Gaon of Vilna, Hayim-Oyzer Grodzenski, a spiritual leader of Vilna Jewry before the war, Shmuel Yosef Finn - famous historian, author of “Kiryah Neemanah” the first book of the history of Vilna Jews, and many others. Visit to the “Cheap Houses” built in 1898 by baron Hirsch for the poor Jewish families that lost their dwellings after the great flood.

Day 4. Vilnius-Ukmerge-Panevezys

Morning visit Memorial Museum of Paneriai, a small settlement close to Vilnius that was the place of massacre of many thousands of Jews during the World War II. After paying a tribute to the victims of the Holocaust return to Vilnius.

Departure for Ukmerge and Panevezys. A short tour of Ukmerge, once an active center of the Jewish life. Afternoon arrival in Panevezys- tour of Panevezys (Ponevezh), including the building of the former world famous Ponevezh Yeshiva, Synagogue, the Jewish ghetto, common grave of the Holocaust victims in the outskirts of the city.

Day 5. Panevezys-Siauliai-Palanga-Klaipeda

Morning departure to Šiauliai. Sightseeing tour of Siauliai (Shavli) and a meeting with the members of the Jewish community. En route to Palanga visit the Hill of Crosses. Palanga - a popular resort on the Baltic Sea, famous for its kilometer-long beaches and the beautiful Botanic Park with the The Palanga Amber Museum Later drive to Klaipeda. Sightseeing of the Old Town of Klaipeda (Memel) distinguished for its German influenced medieval architecture.

Day 6. Klaipeda-Nida-Klaipeda

Morning drive to Nida on the Curonian Spit. En route stop at Juodkrante for a walk on the Raganu Kalnas (Hill of Witches), a vivid example of Lithuanian  folk wooden sculptures. A visit to Nida, a lovely place with its 60 meter-high sand dunes and the Amber Gallery - Museum.

 

Overnight in Klaipeda.

Day 7. Klaipeda - Kėdainiai - Kaunas

Morning departure for Kaunas (Kovna), the interim capital of pre-war Lithuania.
First stop in Kedainiai city. Visit to Kėdainiai Synagogue. (Kaunas district). The new synagogue was built in the middle of the 19th century. It was built by the town’s richest tailor I. Vilneris. It is a two-story building. Men would pray on the first floor and women on the second floor. Two memorial tables in Lithuanian and Hebrew were placed on the wall of this synagogue in memory of the great Jewish religious thinker Gaon Elijahu of Vilnius. The old Kedainiai synagogue stands at the same place. Later a walk in the Kaunas Old Town with its art galleries and cosy cafes. A. Mapu and L. Zamenhoff streets.
The pre-war Jewish Real and Schvabe gymnasiums. Later tour to Slobodka (Vilijampole), a Jewish suburb of pre-war Kaunas and the site of the ghetto during WWII. The Great Action at Demokratu street.
The Old Jewish cemetery. The Seventh and the Ninth Forts - the murder sites of thousands of Jews from Lithuania,France and Germany. The Holocaust museum and the Memorial of the The The Ninth Fort. The Synagogue and the Children's memorial in its courtyard.
Visit a Sugihara‘s House  museum.

Overnight in Kaunas.

Day 8. Kaunas-Rumsiskes-Vilnius

Morning departure to Open-air Museum of Rumsiskes  - Ethnographic Museum, where the visitors find themselves in 
the various villages of Lithuanian regions of the XIX c. Drive to Vilnius. Enjoy the free afternoon in the capital 
of Lithuania.

Day 9 Vilnius

Morning breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
