The crafts farm was established in 2012. Visitors to the farm can see and try out for themselves the equipment used in the old crafts, visit the museum of old-fashioned housewares, try products made from goats’ milk and tea made from local herbs, and hear stories about the crafts featured at the farm. Educational activities in ceramics, stained-glass making, mosaics, painting and flower-arranging are available. International artists’ symposia are held in Tverai.
In 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture’s commission for certifying national heritage products, traditional crafts, teaching programmes and craftspeople awarded the crafts farm a national heritage product certification (category A) for herbs.
