Buildings at the Plunge Palace

  Plunge Central Palace

The central palace is a building of three floors, including ground floor. On the both sides of the central building, one can find two additional buildings, designed in common style with the main one. Long time ago these buildings hosted famous Oginskiu musical school and craft school.

  The Right outbuilding

The Right outbuilding of the renaissance style is located to the north-east from the main building, in symmetry to the Left outbuilding. In the times of Oginskiu the administration and kitchen were operating here. Some information sources suggest, that the palace orchestra school was also placed here.

  The Left outbuilding

This outbuilding is located to the north-west from the main building. It was built in 1879. In the first half of the XX-th Century a half of the building was destroyed. The Left outbuilding was designed to host the palace's guests. Girls' school teacher also lived here.

Palace Clock Room

300 m. to the south of the central palace, in the lower part of the park, the famous Green House and the Clock Room building was located in the times of Oginskis. The building was built in 1846 by the order of A.Zubov. Some researchers claim, that the Clock Room was built between 1863 and 1879. It was later renovated in the end of the XIXth Century. The second floor of the building was beautifully decorated and was used as summer living facility.

The very top of the square building hosted a big clock. The Green House was connected with the Clock Room by the terraces, where many exotic plants were grown.

The Stud-farm

The Stud-farm was built in 1879. The building is of the neogothical style. Workers, who took care of the palace's horses also lived in this building. A spacious arena is located inside as well.

    The Park Gates

The Gates are built on the side of the Park, to the east side from the main building. Built in 1879, they combine neoreneissance style and monumentality. XVI Century's knights figures stand next to the Gates.
